July 23 Meeting

Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, July 23, 7:00 PM at Basil Spice Thai (3183 S. Grand Blvd.).

June Activities

We will not be having a regular 4th Thursday meeting in June.

Instead, we will be participating as usual in the Pridefest Parade on Sunday, June 28. The parade starts at noon. Come out and join us on the firetruck!

Our next meeting, on Thursday, May 28, will be more of a social outing:

Drinks, 6:30 to 7:30 - Parkside Lounge, 3117 South Grand (formerly Erato)
Dinner, 7:30 to 8:30ish - Basil Spice, 3183 South Grand
Dessert, 8:30ish - Gelateria Del Leone, 3197 South Grand

May 28 Progressive Dinner

Our May 28th meeting is going to be a progressive dinner.
More details will be forthcoming.

April 7th Election Results

Congratulations to Mayor Slay, Comptroller Green, and Alderman Florida on their reelections!

As we thought, we had a stronger turnout for the April 7th election than we did in March.
There were a total of 1232 voters (16.47% of our registered voters). City wide turnout was 17.12%
Mayor Slay won with 67.70% of the 15th Ward (he received 60.68% of the city overall).

Mayor Slay is hosting a Get Out The Vote BBQ on Sunday, April 5th from 1 to 3 PM at the Carondelet Park Boathouse. Everyone is invited!
